The Air Induction Turbo TwinJet® is an air induction style nozzle with two separate 110 degree spray patterns. One spray pattern is directedforward of vertical and the second pattern is directed rear of vertical. This nozzle creates medium and coarse droplets and is an excellentnozzle for contact applications where drift control is needed. The twoindependent spray patterns improve contact coverage by sprayingthe turf at two different angles.
XRC TeeJet® Flat Fan
The Standard XRC Flat Fan nozzle has a 110 degree tapered spraypattern and produces medium and fine droplets. Because of thesmaller droplets the Standard XRC Flat Fan is best suited for contactapplications where drift control is not needed.
TurfJet Wide Angle
The TurfJet is a wide 130 degree angle nozzle with a tapered fanpattern. The TurfJet is best suited for systemic applications wheredistribution quality is the primary goal. The TurfJet creates extracoarse droplets and provides good drift control. Distribution quality isexcellent at all pressures.
AIC TeeJet® (Air Induction Flat Fan)
The AIC TeeJet® (Air Induction Flat Fan) nozzle is a good generalpurpose nozzle that can be used for both contact and systemicapplications. The spray pattern is 110 degrees with tapered edgessimilar to a standard flat fan. This nozzle produces coarse air-filleddroplets with a venturi air aspirator. The air-filled drops reduce spraydrift but provide good contact coverage. Air Induction nozzles canbe operated at higher spray pressures without creating excessivespray drift. Distribution AIC nozzles are best when used at pressuresabove 30 psi.
Using worn nozzles can be very costly -- often wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars.
This video shows two identical nozzles spraying side by side. One nozzle is new. The other nozzle is worn by 30%. Despite the wear, the two spray patterns look the same. To determine which nozzle is worn, the sprayed liquid is being collected in tubes. The liquid volume in the tubes quickly reveals which nozzle is spraying 30% over capacity. When nozzles spray over capacity, water, chemicals and energy are wasted and product/process quality can be compromised.
